“The Unthanks' boldest experiment yet”
The Guardian

In a project commissioned by the Durham International Festival of Brass and supported by Arts Council England, and starting with concerts at Durham Cathedral and at London's Barbican Hall, The Unthanks began a UK tour in July 2011 with the Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band, performing new brass arrangements of songs from all four Unthanks albums, as well as new material written and arranged by Unthanks pianist Adrian McNally.

McNally was invited by The Guardian to write about the simultaneous experience of becoming a father and writing his first large scale scores, in a full page article that can still be read here:
The record kicks off with the televised performance of King of Rome that was so rapturously received at the BBC Folk Awards earlier this year. It can still be seen here on YouTube.

The cover illustration is by Becky Unthank (who sings King of Rome) and depicts the character Charlie from the song.
